I am a Canadian born visual artist of Jamaican and Grenadian descent, based in Toronto, Ontario.
I make art for the joy of expression, and the sake of experimentation. My art is meant to capture my experiences, feelings and perspectives as a Canadian black woman of Caribbean descent, and my journey to self acceptance and finding peace of mind through creativity.
There's no wrong way to create, or capture our subjective experiences through a creative lens, and I just try to enjoy the creative process.Kimani John
